Hello, I’m Adarsh.
I’m the founder of Kriya Climate, where we’re building at the intersection of software, scientific research and practitioner experience to turn complex climate challenges into measurable action.
I was born in a small village in Varanasi and raised in Lucknow. My studies took me to Jaipur and Delhi before bringing me back to Lucknow, completing, in a way, the arc of Subah-e-Banaras, Shaam-e-Awadh.
I hold two master’s degrees: an M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering from Delhi Technological University, where I ranked first and received the Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal, and an eMasters in Climate Finance and Sustainability from IIT Kanpur. My M.Tech. research was published as Climate Change Impact Assessment on Stream flow of Ganjal River, India. My undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering is from Manipal University Jaipur.
My technical foundation took shape during my M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering through geospatial analysis and hydrological modelling. I carried that foundation into environmental due diligence guided by the IFC Performance Standards at ESG Global Partners. At EVI (Emergent Ventures India), I worked as a consultant, leading registration for CBG and AAC-block projects and issuance for renewable-energy projects. While at EVI, I started IIT Kanpur’s eMasters in Climate Finance and Sustainability to connect project execution with climate finance. After completing the programme, my I-REC(E) experience led me to Sustainiam, where I managed I-REC(E) projects.
Beyond building Kriya Climate, I’m exploring a geospatial framework that combines agricultural statistics and satellite evidence to prioritise locations for biomass-residue investigation before local surveys and feasibility studies.
Outside work, I cycle, do smartphone photography and write poetry. In 2023, I self-published Chai Sa Safar, a Hindi poetry collection. I also experiment with AI tools and connected workflows.
Thoughtful emails spark good conversations. I try my best to reply to each.
